Terms of Service

Welcome to Promptto. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Promptto's Chrome extension and web services operated by Promptto ("we", "our", or "us") at promptto.ai. By installing the extension or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. User Accounts

To access Pro features, you must sign in with a Google account via Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not use another person's account or share your account credentials with others.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Promptto. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

2. Subscription & Billing

Promptto offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe, our payment processor.

Billing Terms

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card or banking information. Your payment data is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.

3. Data Handling

Your use of Promptto is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Free users: Your prompt data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local and never transmitted to our servers.

Pro users: Your prompts and settings are synced to Google Cloud Firestore. You retain ownership of all content you create. By syncing to the cloud, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit that content solely to provide the sync service.

You may export or delete your data at any time. To request account deletion, contact us at support@promptto.ai.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Promptto to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the extension or services
  • Resell or sublicense access to the services without our written consent
  • Circumvent any security or access controls
  • Use the service to generate or store illegal, harmful, or abusive content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Promptto and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Promptto and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all prompts and content you create using Promptto. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.

The Promptto name, logo, and branding may not be used without our prior written permission.

6. Termination

You may stop using Promptto at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any active subscription.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Promptto at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the services ceases immediately. Pro subscribers who are terminated for cause are not entitled to a refund. For voluntary cancellations, access continues until the end of the paid period.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Promptto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of Promptto is at your sole risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Promptto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Promptto shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or email with at least 14 days' notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Promptto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
